preposizioni di luogo inglese

Le preposizione di stato in luogo sono due: at e in. At traduce a e in traduce in (e le preposizioni articolate al, allo, alla, ai, ecc., e nel, nello, nella, nei ecc.). In è sempre seguito dall' articolo determinativo, ad eccezzione di in bed ( in letto, a letto) e in town (in città).

 at - at the park   = al parco - stato in luogo
 in - in the park = nel parco. - stato in luogo

Con i nomi di città si usa in o se la città è grande o importante, at se la città è piccola. Per la città dove si risiede si usa normalmente la preposizione in.

 Le preposizioni di moto a luogo sono due: to e into. To traduce a, in e da, ed esprime avvicinamento, mentre into traduce in (e le preposizioni articolate nel, nello, nella, nei, ecc.) ed esprime penetrazione in luogo chiuso (o cintato). Into è sempre seguito dall' articolo determinativo.

To è inoltre usato per esprimere il complemento di termine.

whether può esser anche riferito a due o più possibilità e non può essere sostituito da if
