inglese spiegazioni e esercizi past simple e past continuous

📌 Spiegazione: Past Simple vs. Past Continuous

1️⃣ Past Simple (Passato Semplice)

Usiamo il Past Simple per:
✅ Azioni concluse nel passato (I visited my grandparents yesterday.)
✅ Eventi che si susseguono nel passato (She opened the door, walked in, and sat down.)

🔹 Struttura

  • Affermativa: Soggetto + verbo al passato (+ complemento)
    • I played football yesterday.
  • Negativa: Soggetto + did not (didn’t) + verbo base
    • She didn’t go to school last Monday.
  • Interrogativa: Did + soggetto + verbo base
    • Did you watch the movie last night?

2️⃣ Past Continuous (Passato Continuo)

Usiamo il Past Continuous per:
✅ Azioni in corso in un momento preciso del passato (I was studying at 8 p.m. yesterday.)
✅ Azioni interrotte da un’altra azione (I was watching TV when she called me.)
✅ Due azioni contemporanee nel passato (While she was cooking, I was reading.)

🔹 Struttura

  • Affermativa: Soggetto + was/were + verbo -ing
    • He was sleeping at midnight.
  • Negativa: Soggetto + was not (wasn’t) / were not (weren’t) + verbo -ing
    • They weren’t listening to the teacher.
  • Interrogativa: Was/Were + soggetto + verbo -ing

inglese - lezione con esercizi sulle time clauses

soluzioni!

1. Introduzione alle Time Clauses

  • when (quando)
  • while (mentre)
  • before (prima)
  • after (dopo)
  • until (fino a quando)
  • as soon as (non appena)

Esempi:

  • When I get home, I will call you. (Quando torno a casa, ti chiamerò.)
  • She finished her work before she went out.

  • I will call you when I arrive. ✅
